Troy Tyler, DO (2022 Graduate)

Troy Tyler grew up overseas and in Georgia. He graduated with his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Georgia. He attended medical school in Dothan, Alabama at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After residency, Troy will be completing a two-year Vascular Surgery fellowship with Midwest Aortic and Vascular Institute here in Kansas City, MO.

Troy would like to thank his wife, Jillian, for her unwavering support throughout residency and constant encouragement to pursue his dreams. He thanks his son, Trent, for being a source of pure joy and for sharing his dad with countless patients daily. He also thanks his parents for always supporting his pursuits and believing in him. Lastly, he would like to thank his attendings, staff, and co-residents at Advanced Surgical Associates for helping shape him into the surgeon that he is today.is.

Charles “Trey” Harper, DO (2021 Graduate)

Charles (Trey) Harper grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated with his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He attended medical school in Vallejo, California at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After residency, Trey will be joining Advanced Surgical Associates here in Jackson County and will carry on at St. Mary’s Medical Center as faculty for the residency program.

Trey is grateful to Jesus Christ for saving him and giving him a model for compassion and loving people well. He would like to thank his wife, Jessica, for staying by his side and selflessly sacrificing for years to make this possible. He thanks his two sons, Brecken and Boden, for sharing their dad with his patients on many long days and nights. He would like to thank his mom and dad for always supporting his pursuits and believing in him the whole way. Lastly, he would like to thank his trainers with Advanced Surgical Associates for making him the surgeon that he is.
