John Maschger, FHFMA, CHFP, CHC

John Maschger, FHFMA, CHFP, CHC, serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for St. Mary’s Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare. He brings over 20 years of healthcare finance management experience. Prior to joining St. Mary’s, John was a member of the senior leadership team while serving as Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Liberty Hospital. John’s team achieved numerous revenue cycle awards of excellence to include the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s MAP Award. Prior to joining Liberty Hospital, John served as the revenue cycle leader for University Health KC, which is Kansas City’s primary safety net system which encompasses two hospitals with over 550 beds, On the Go partnership clinics, and the area’s largest behavioral health program.

John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Ottawa University and is a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).  He is a recipient of the Founder’s Medal of Honor which signifies significant volunteer service to HFMA at the chapter, regional and national level. John’s certifications include HFMA’s Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and the Health Care Compliance Association’s Certified in Healthcare Compliance. John serves on the Board for the Kansas City Medical Society Foundation which promotes access to care and health equity across the greater Kansas City area. He is also on the Board of Directors for the HFMA Greater Heartland Chapter.

John is married with two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, trout fishing, and traveling.
