Spiritual Care
In keeping with our Catholic identity, St. Mary’s Medical Center seeks to deliver compassionate healthcare in a manner that offers an opportunity for the patient, family or hospital staff to experience the very holiness of God.
The Spiritual Care Department welcomes you to our hospital. Our goal is to provide you with quality, holistic spiritual care which treats the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. We believe all human beings deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.
Our professional chaplains are Board Certified and provide spiritual care to patients and families of diverse backgrounds, as well as to those who may not embrace a particular faith or organized religion. Chaplains also provide spiritual care to hospital staff.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion make regular rounds to provide the Eucharist to Catholic patients, their family members, and staff.
For emergency Spiritual Care support on Sundays and after 3:30pm (MON-SAT), patients and family members may contact their parish priest, minister, or a representative of their faith tradition.
At St. Mary’s Medical Center, Catholic Mass is celebrated on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., in the Holy Family Chapel which is located slightly inside the main front entrance to the medical center. The Holy Family Chapel is open 24/7 for quiet contemplation and prayer, and all are welcome!
