KANSAS CITY, KAN. (March 16, 2017) — Prime Healthcare has named Randall G. “Randy” Nyp, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer for the Kansas City market which includes; Providence Medical Center, Kansas City KS; Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, KS; St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, MO; and St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO.
In his new role, Nyp will lead the strategic direction and operations for the four hospitals and thirty-one physician practices and clinics in the Missouri-Kansas Market for Prime Healthcare Services.
The day-to-day operations at each hospital will be directed by Karen Orr, CNO (Providence Medical Center); Jodi Fincher, CNO Administrator (St. Joseph Medical Center); Deb Ohnoutka, CEO (St. Mary’s Medical Center) and Paula Ellis, CNO Administer (Saint John Hospital).
Randy has more than 30 years of health care experience in executive leadership roles. He has implemented strategic plans that improve organizational productivity and deepened relationships within the communities he serves. In his previous and current role, Randy focuses on developing strong physician relationships with the hospitals.
His career spans from his start at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka to Chief Financial Officer of St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado before becoming President and CEO of Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita. In 2005, Randy moved across the country to accept the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He returned home to his Kansas roots in 2011 to assume leadership for Providence and Saint John.
