St. Mary’s Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Drew Grossman as Chief Executive Officer. Drew fills the position that was left vacant by the previous Chief Executive Officer, Deb Ohnoutka, last June. Steve Wilkinson, who was serving as the Interim Chief Executive officer, steps back into his role as Regional Chief Executive Officer. Drew brings with him a strong background in hospital management and many past accomplishments.

For the past twelve years, Drew has been associated with the Florida-based Broward Health System – one of the ten largest public healthcare systems in the nation. Most recently Drew was the Chief Executive Officer for Broward Health Coral Springs and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital, in Coral Springs, Florida, after serving as that hospital’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Broward Health System, Drew was with Tenet Health System for seven and a half years. During his tenure with Tenet, he served in administrative positions for three Tenet hospitals.

“I have a true passion for people, quality care and customer service. I envision St. Mary’s as the number one community hospital in the Kansas City metro and look forward to bringing that vision to life,” says Drew. He adds, “Not to mention, my family and I are looking forward to experiencing all the Midwest has to offer, from all four seasons to Kansas City sports to all the barbecue Kansas City is famous for!”

Drew received a Bachelor of Science in Health Education Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Health Services Administration from George Washington University.

Drew has been active in community organizations, including Chair of the Broward County March of Dimes March for Babies; the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund, and Women’s Wellness 5k Run/Walk; the Coral Springs and Parkland Chamber of Commerce; Coral Springs Economic Development Foundation; and the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association.
